In the 90s, the Château de la Brillane was abandoned. A couple bought it and renovated it into a guest house. Today it is one of the jewels of the Aix region, and a wine estate now bears its name.

The couple sells the castle and wants to have an adventure abroad. They decide to come and live in Essaouira after falling in love with this city.

They then discovered a remote Berber district, overlooking the sea called Chicht. No houses were built there at the time. They immediately fall in love with the place and imagine the house of their dreams. A house at the end of the world, overlooking the ocean with a distant view of the medina of Essaouira, large volumes, a Berber style and French influences.

The villa was extended with an extension with a Hammam in 2015. Weddings and guest rooms began to be organized there, then the villa was fully rented.

Today, the La Brillane villa welcomes guests from all over the world who benefit from the energies of the place, which its history, its location, and the way in which it is decorated have helped to create.
